Auryn. Her World. Zeneszám
We went down to see the falls
so that we could have
somewhere to talk when she said
"I know I'm lost but I'm too tired to care."
"I'm so put out with all this shit, man,
life should be easier than it is and
I don't want to smile or pay another bill."
"My world is a place where I alone
don't have one damn thing to show
for these 22 years I've been alive."
"I can't find a thing to love."
"I can't stick to a diet."
"I hate my job."
Then she sat down and hung her head real still.
She knows nobody. She calls your name.
I went home confused and drained,
a million things cluttering up my brain.
I couldn't sleep so I drove down to her place.
I stepped in the house,
saw the pills on the couch,
and I lifted her head up and out of the mess.
She looked up all glassy eyed.
I said "Damn it baby you're not this type."
"You can't give up on life when you're depressed."
She said "How could you understand?"
"You're still fed from Mom and Daddy's hands."
"You could leave for years and still come back to a home."
"I walk the wires without a net."
"You've got freedom, I've got debt."
"Now leave me here to burn out on my own."
She knows nobody. She calls your name.
I went down to see the falls
so that I would have some where to walk.
I got so lost but I was too tired to care.
I'm so put out with all this shit,
life should be easier than it is.
I don't want to smile.
Not now...
