The song was arranged by David Whitaker in London in September 1967 and became Claude FranAois's biggest hit. The English version by Paul Anka turned it into an inter-national hit. The versions by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and the Sex Pistols. to name just a few. increased the immense popularity of song which became an evergreen. This hit also meant the start for the record company 'Fleche' set up by Claude Francois. Marcel Peeters wrote this very fine arrangement for wind band.
