Because the tour was cancelled, the successful first performance of the march was held in Vienna at a 'Grosses Sommer-Fest'. Grand Summer Festival. in the 'Imperial Volksgarten' in September 1872. For that reason Johann's brother Eduard conducted the 'Strauss Orchestra'.
