Five brief off-stage monologues from those witnessing or participating in Christ's final steps on earth enhance the stark reality of each scene with their observations, their frustrations, and their fears. The music supplies the drama and passion through its incredible mix of styles that range from classical to Appalachian, bluegrass, and Celtic folk idioms.
