Recommended for popular use in the United States throughout the Jubilee, "Te Deum. You Are God" was commissioned by the National Catholic Conference of Bishops Subcommittee on the Third Millennium. Written in a call-and-response form, this setting makes the most of assembly participation, and it also offers a Spanish translation by Jaime Cortez. Several other psalms and canticles featured in this collection are included as part of a morning prayer setting commissioned by Luther College in Iowa in honor of music professor Weston Noble.
