Published by Twin Towers Music Publications. TW.J1024S. "Graphic Details" is a really cool funk tune written specifically for big band. It is written in the Brecker Brother's style, really slow and funky. The solo section is open, with changes for alto 1, tenor 1, trpt 2 and tbn 1. The changes are pretty straight forward, so a solo may be played by anyone who wants to. There is supposed to be an obligato guitar solo at 97 while the band is blowing all those whole notes. The use of a distortion pedal would be really cool for this section. The bass part is written out, but the bass player should feel free to embellish the patterns that are presented. This tune would make a great addition to the funk genre of any big band's concert.
