Deurne, 1968. won the first prize of the composition contest organised by the city of Hilvarenbeek with his "Suite for Saxophone Quartet, Piano and Percussion. " He also writes contemporary but easily accessible music for symphonic and fanfare band and also pieces for youth wind bands using the pen name "Ennio Salvere. " Knights of the Round Table is a nice suite for youth symphonic band in three parts. "King Arthur," "Camelot" and "Excalibur," referring respectively to the hero of the Celtic legends, his castle and his magic sword.
